I arrived a bit early, but was invited into an exam room very quickly. The nurse (PA?) who checked on my prescriptions was thorough and friendly. The doctor, whom I was seeing for the first time, spotted a potential trouble-spot on my back and numbed and scraped it for a biopsy. It was virtually painless and her advice on wound care was simple. Unmasked, she spotted problem areas of seborrheic dermatitis in my eyebrows and beside my nose and mouth, prescribing a topical shampoo that instantly made the problem manageable. I asked her to check a rash area in my groin, and again she recognized a condition I had suffered with for years, and which had gone unremarkable by previous dermatologists. Her prescription is giving me welcome relief. Through it all, she was cheerful, businesslike, and never talked down to us (my wife was with me; she remembers doctors' instructions better than I do). They were understanding of my balance issues -- it's hard for me to get up on the exam table, but the two medical professionals readily offered a balancing hand. I was very impressed by the combination of expertise, courtesy, and kindness. Would that all my medical encounters achieved the same level of all three qualities. They left a very strong impression with me; I regard them with confidence and esteem.
